Tom Bishop: Vice President, Engineering

Tom Bishop joined TransMedics in June of 2004, bringing with him over 25 years of engineering management, product development and project management experience in a variety of industries, including patient monitoring, Internet routers, military systems and telecommunications switches.

Prior to joining TransMedics, Mr. Bishop directed software development activities for Quarry Technologies, a start-up company developing high speed Internet routers. He previously served as Chief Engineer of Patient Monitoring software for Analogic Corporation. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bishop directed multi-disciplinary teams developing new generations of patient monitors for Siemens Medical Systems.

In addition, Mr. Bishop holds 2 patents on transportable modular patient monitor systems. Mr. Bishop received his Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Economics from Denison University.
